Sample Article #4: Google’s Penguin Is One Friendly Chap – 4 Reasons To Love Google’s Latest Update

I know what you’re thinking.

With all of the so-called SEO experts, webmasters, and affiliate marketers pulling their hairs out as they panic over Google’s new algorithm change, ‘lovingly’ called the Penguin, how could I say that it’s friendly?

While it took millions of websites out of business, Google’s latest update provides a lot of benefits that many have overlooked. As you read on, you will SURELY agree that the Penguin isn’t to be hated.

Reason #1: It Leveled The Playing Field

The Google Penguin was released to crack down on sites that are manipulating the system through over-optimization.

Pre-penguin, unless you blast your sites with Scrapebox, Xrumer, spam blogs with spam comments, spin articles and post them to thousands of directories, it’s almost impossible to rank for keywords.

Back then, if your pocket isn’t deep enough to buy services like the ones I mentioned, your website is sure to collect cyber dust.

But not anymore! With the Google Penguin, site that manipulate and cheat the system with over-optimization are removed for the index. Giving sites and webmasters, who don’t ‘game’ the system, a good shot for ranking well.

Reason #2: Goodbye Spam
No, I’m not talking about the spam you buy from the supermarket. I’m talking about flooding the Internet with hundreds or even thousands of duplicates of the same message; attempting to force the message on people who would not otherwise choose to receive it.

We all hate that, don’t we? Now, if something looks suspicious, you can count on the Penguin to track it down. Now, you don’t have to worry about competing with spam that occupies almost half of the SERPs. Furthermore, online audiences don’t have to worry about running into websites that are jam-packed with spam.

Reason #3: Greater Recognition For Great Content

One of the tools in the webmaster’s and SEO’s toolbox is keyword stuffing. That is squeezing a lot of keywords in an article or a blog post without any regard if the content provides value or not.

Yes, using keywords at the right places helps your rankings. But overstuffing your content with keywords to the point that it sounds and looks gibberish will give your site a thorough beating thanks to the Penguin.

Google values websites that give valuable information and content to the reader. If you are someone who takes your time to create good content, it’s time to rejoice! Gone are the days when your great content is overshadowed by keyword-stuffed pages.

Reason #4: Building Quality Links Is EASIER
Before the Penguin update, ranking in the Google means throwing links in every direction. And it can get really expensive and tedious. Post-Penguin, links are still necessary. BUT the weight has shifted to QUALITY links.

And by quality links, I mean links that come from relevant, natural (not automated by some multi-threading SEO software), and come from different websites or blogs that are relevant and hold authority in your niche.

No need for expensive services that provide thousands of links! Natural build-up of quality links is the new name of the game.

Google is committed to bringing quality search results to everyone. While the initial Penguin update is not perfect, you can count on Google to tweak it to perfection just like the Panda. I think this is something we should ALL be happy about.
